Jacaranda was built 80 years ago and has a longstanding history of winemaking. The soils and the terroir in Wellington are ideal for growing vines and Jacaranda is surrounded by some of the largest and most well known vine nurseries in the country.
After lovingly restoring the Manor House and the Holiday Cottage, owners René and Birgit Reiser are now tackling the vineyards with new plantings going into the soil in August 2011.
Adhering to organic farming methods has brought an abundance of birdlife back to the farm. Organic produce from the vegetable garden is used wherever possible when catering to guests. Free range and organic products are the first choice in the Jacaranda kitchen and we are serving a hearty farm breakfast to our overnight guests. Lunch, dinner, braai and picnics on request.
Wellington and the surrounding winelands offer numerous attractions: golf, mountain biking, hiking trails, it is all at your doorstep at Jacaranda. Enjoy wine tastings, game drives or stay at the farm and relax at our 15-m pool, with a picnic under old Jacaranda trees, a braai or a glass of wine on your private stoep.
Two cottage units are available:
- romatic bedrooms under the thatch roof with Aircon
- kitchen with gas hobs, honesty bar
- light and cosy living area with TV
- private stoep, braai faciilities, Wifi Hotspot
Cottage Units can be booked as B&B or self-catering.

For the wine lovers, we have three wines available for tasting and sales: Jacaranda Chenin Blanc, Pinotage Rosé, and our Cuvée Rouge, a Bordeaux style blend. Jacaranda Wines are made with lots of love and are fit for all occasions, a braai by the pool, a cosy evening infront of the fireplace or an al-fresco lunch on the stoep on a perfect summer day.
Refreshing and modern in style our wines will go with a great variety of food.

Coming from Cape Town from the N1, please take the Klapmuts Exit and turn left onto the R44 direction Wellington - first robot just before Wellington, turn left towards "Industrial/R44/45 Ceres" - pass the golf course on your right and Waamakersvallei Winery on your left, turn right direction "Oakdene" just after the blockhouse. You will also see the brown "Jacaranda Wine Estate" sign - over the railway line, at the next T-Junction turn left, we are just 700m down the road on the right hand side.
